Do you need an experienced facilitator?

You've invited 12 executives to participate in an important planning session. For various reasons you asked one of your counterparts to run it.

The day arrives... the meeting takes place. Unfortunately, the outcome is not what you had intended. Participants were unable to agree on the key issues. One nodded off in the afternoon session and a couple excused themselves right after lunch.

Perhaps an experienced, outside facilitator would have been a good investment.

There are meetings and then there are crucial meetings
When success is essential, you can't afford to mess around. You need to pull out all the stops to ensure your objectives are accomplished, and participants feel the time has been well spent.

"The meeting exceeded our expectations. By getting to know us beforehand and customizing the agenda, Chris was able to help us identify our key issues and redefine our strategy. This work has become the foundation for developing our marketing programs. It was time very well spent and I highly recommend Chris!"
– Michael Speraw, President, Uplift Technologies Inc.

An experienced facilitator with dozens of successful meetings to his credit, Chris will develop an agenda that will accomplish your objectives. And he excels at engaging participants, breaking up logjams and keeping a meeting on track.

Chris likes people and it shows. A good listener with a proven ability to engage participants and draw them out, his collaborative style, humor and buttoned-down process make him a popular and effective facilitator.

Before the meeting
The key to successful meetings lies in the planning and preparation. Based on his broad business experience, Chris will recommend an agenda that will help accomplish your objectives. He will advise you on where to hold the meeting, and whom to invite.

"Our client was absolutely thrilled with the outcome of the meeting you facilitated. In fact they're still talking about it. It was a challenging situation, but you were more than up to it!"
– Brian Fox, Senior Vice President, OEB Enterprise Inc.

He will interview some or all participants prior to the meeting. Not only are these interviews a useful way of identifying and clarifying key issues, they help build rapport with participants.

Following the meeting
Chris will provide you with a summary of decisions made and a plan for moving forward.

"Your facilitation skills are excellent. By ensuring that our Board members and staff were able to contribute their ideas you were very instrumental in helping us develop our 5-year strategic plan."
– Karyn Kennedy, Executive Director, Boost

If requested he will present the outcome to others in your organization and field questions that might be difficult for an insider to answer. And he is available on an 'as required' basis to ensure those responsible for implementation are staying the course.
